The Noritake of today grew out of a trading company that was originally established by the Morimura Brothers in New York in 1876. This trading company imported chinaware, curios, paper lanterns and other gift items. In 1904, the forerunner of the Noritake Company was established in the village of Noritake, a small suburb near Nagoya, Japan.

Today, Noritake is forerunner in tableware manufacturing and marketing with factories and affiliates around the world, including Noritake Philippines managed by Legacy Unlimited, Inc. as sole and exclusive importer and distributor.

Noritake’s Legacy in the Philippines

After Noritake closed its manufacturing plant in the Philippines in 2008, its former Filipino executives continued the marketing operations of Noritake products in the country under the name, Legacy Unlimited, Incorporated. Legacy Unlimited, Inc. is formally recognized by Noritake Co., Limited, Japan. as the sole and exclusive distributor of all tableware products carrying Noritake brand name for both hotel and restaurant, and retail wholesale businesses including department stores and similar enterprises. Registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 14, 2008, Legacy Unlimited, Inc. is authorized to engage in, conduct and carry on the business of buying, selling, distributing, marketing at wholesale and retail basis insofar as may be permitted by law, all kinds of goods, commodities, wares and merchandise of every kind and description; to enter into all kinds of contracts for the export, import, purchase, acquisition, wholesale or retail and other disposition for its own account as principal or in representative capacity as manufacturer’s representative, merchandise broker, commission merchant, factors or agents, upon consignment of all kinds of goods, wares, merchandise or products whether natural or artificial.
